Cheated.
Defeated.
It's people like you that make girls so damn conceited.
Convinced that all are like you; lie about being needed.
It's that silver tongue
The one that moves too quick
You make your rhymes, beats, and words stick.
You're a sweet talker
Careful stalker
The talk of the street.
You convince girls that you're "the one"
Tell them that you have a castle in the sky
One, up near the sun.
You promise them riches and gold
And before you know it, their place, they have sold
Ready to move in with you
But you leave them behind
Another girl played
Another heart mined.
You call them your 'diamond'
Say you'll treat 'em right
Convince girls that you're "the one"
Tell them that you have a castle in the sky
One, up near the sun.
You only play this game, so that you can get laid
It's men like you that make girls like us feel
Cheated.

Unlock My Name
My life lasts a few seconds you see
Watch me grow strong and free
I'm born with a single touch; don't take your eyes off me
Soon you'll see me whither and flee
To some I am a sign of beauty
To some a moment of glee
I don't make a sound, no not a peep
Try to unlock my name, I'll grant you no key

iii. so you said,
"let's swallow the world. if it's inside of us, it can't hurt us."
i looked into your mahogany eyes and snorted.
"you really do like the illsuion of control, don't you?"
"well," you snapped back, "at least it won't leave scars."
i flinched.
"okay, i'm sorry i laughed," i replied. "but let me assure you that the scars you can see don't hurt nearly as much as the ones you never will, the ones deeply embedded into the inside of my flesh that can't seem to find their way out."
you shook your head and smiled.
"don't worry," you assured me, "soon you'll never have to hurt again."
"you have no idea what you're doing!" i ye

Define: Love
Love is a beautiful thing
It is a painful thing
A happy thing
A sad thing
With the wrong person
It could even be a
dangerous thing
Love is what keeps us together
Or what tears us apart
Or simply is just there
Part of our lives
What we think about
Before we go to bed
What we dream about
When we are asleep
What consumes us
When we are alone
Or when we are together
Good or bad
Happy or sad
Dreams or reality
It is part of our lives
It is love

*th3krimzon1's Prompt Of The Day
Silver
"Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by
And did I hear you say he was a-meetin' you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky-eye"
-Delta Dawn-Helen Reddy/Tanya Tucker
I really don't know where these come from.
I just see a word, and the words start pouring out.
Please note that I cannot personally thank you individually anymore. I shall do my best, but if I can't get to you all individually, know that I am thankful for the support.
